In these case studies I rely, in part, on the content of phone conversations to identify the business names behind the lead generation ads.
I can’t match each call to the related lead generation ads, but I received calls from:
Greystone Wealth, who confirmed they were fully licenced and based in Surry Hills. Greystone Wealth and Ready Advice (mentioned in the following two paragraphs) share the same senior financial advisor.
Dexter from My Wealth Hub. I asked if they were licensed. He mentioned they do a fact-find and send the information to Ready Advice, who produce a Statement of Advice and “then we go through that with you”. While My Wealth Hub offers “Superannuation and Financial Planning” on its website, and refers to “our experienced team of financial advisors” I can’t see whether it holds an AFSL itself.
Cody from Wise Investments Direct. They hold an AFSL licence – I can’t find the ad that I responded to, but Wise Investments Direct own the “Improve my Super” website, which offers a free superannuation performance review. Wise Investments Direct website shows Ready Advice (see above) as a partner.
Certainty Wealth – appear to be offering property via super – I asked if they were licensed – they confirmed “fully licenced”, although I haven’t confirmed this.
Shane from Donmont Capital, who hold an AFSL.
Anthony Frith from Super Specialists Aus. I asked him if they were licenced – he said “do you mean like business number, ABN?” I said no, for financial services. He said “we’re a marketing company and will collect information and send it to the advisors and then they send back the advice”. He said that the licensed advisor is Honeywell Capital. Honeywell holds an AFSL according to its website.
